Orionids Meteor Shower Night

The Orionids come from Halley's Comet and are fast — 66 km/s — so they often leave glowing trains. Best after midnight when Orion is high.

This is a late one, so it's parent-permission for under-16s and a car pool from the school gate at 9:30 pm. We're back by 2:30 am.
